The lower back area of this house had a steep slope upwards against the lower half of the house. We excavated the earth down so the lower story had its own flat, sunny courtyard. We retained with large sandstone blocks and re-paved with recycled bricks.

We coordinated the process with Avalon Earthmoving and Cornerstone Landscapes. A brilliant outcome structurally and the client adores her large, sunny outdoor entertaining area.
